RSC Podcast with MovieBob

This week on the RSC Podcast, we talk to one of my favourite people on the internet, Bob Chipman, aka MovieBob. In what is easily our longest (and quite possibly our most interesting) podcast to date, we discuss Valve, Star Wars, Warner Bros. struggles with the Justice League, the current state of comics, and even candy! Click to see more after the break.

  3. Great show! Definitely going to add this to my collection of podcasts.

I agree with the desire to have Marvels Guardians of the Galaxy be successful. If they can pull that off maybe a Black Panther movie would not be so "difficult" to quote Louis D'Esposito. Yes I'm bitter about that. Also bitter that DC comics managed to make New 52 Aquaman, Swamp Thing, and Animal man cool, but completely botched Static Shock.

But now I'm ranting, love the show. Keep up the great work.

    1. Hey Marcus. Glad you enjoyed the Podcast! We hope you'll stick around and continue to enjoy all the great content this blog has to offer. Podcasts are released regularly on Saturdays, so tune in then for more stuff like this, but we also make regular blog posts each weekday if you're interested. Really appreciate the kind words about the show.

As for the rest of your post, I'm definitely excited for Guardians of the Galaxy (never in a million years dreamed this could happen when I was growing up; seeing Rocket Raccoon on the big screen will be glorious). I think a Black Panther movie would be great, but I'd be willing to guess a "Heroes for Hire" movie would come first, if only because it presents more opportunities for spinoffs, Luke Cage is a little more stereotypical action hero-y, and is less closely tied to the X-Men (no, they wouldn't have to mention the Black Panther/Storm thing, but it would be mildly awkward I suppose to keep it out).

Keep hope alive for Static Shock: he'll be a full fledged member of the Teen Titans eventually (and if that means Scott Lobdell gets off the book, all the better XD).

  4. Bob brought me here too. Great discussion, guys--I'll have to check out some more!

Also, interesting you call Chandler the "anti-Alan Moore"--I first heard that story from an interview with Moore. Granted, that's from 12 years ago, before Hollywood really started jerking him around, but there you go.

And that's quite funny that it's come up before. I had no idea when I said it, but it's cool knowing I'm not the only one who had that impression XD
